ISO Certification Procedure
Certification Audit Workflow
QCert Malaysia follows a systematic, accredited 4-stage certification process in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1 requirements.

Management Systems Audit Stages
From the certification body point of view, the management system certification process comprises four key sequential stages:
QCert Malaysia delegates a qualified audit team responsible for superior audit execution and schedule preparation.
Document review and preliminary verification that basic requirements for proper management system functioning are applied.
On-site audit at client facilities and workstations to evaluate practical implementation, process controls, and compliance.
Final evaluation by the Certification Director and formal issuance of the accredited ISO management certificate.

Certification Audit — Stage 1
The Stage 1 certification audit is performed to obtain sufficient information and verification that the fundamental requirements for the proper functioning of your management system are established.
The lead auditor verifies the completeness and compliance of your system documentation against relevant ISO standard requirements and regulatory frameworks, identifying any readiness gaps before Stage 2.

Certification Audit — Stage 2
The Stage 2 audit takes place on-site at client facilities and workstations specified in the audit scope. This phase consists of four steps:
- Preparation (Audit Programme): Lead auditor elaborates the detailed time schedule and resource requirements.
- Realization: Practical on-site assessment of operational controls, personnel interviews, and record sampling.
- Closing Meeting: Audit team presents findings and agrees on timelines for non-conformity clearance.
- Final Evaluation & Report: Lead auditor elaborates the comprehensive audit report incorporating expert findings.
